What is patriotism? We all know that it is the love and devotion to ones country, but what does that really mean? Is it love of ones birthplace, the place of childhoods hopes and dreams? To be patriotic, do you have to be someone big and important that fights in war(s), like a veteran? You are definitely patriotic for doing so, but you can do stuff everyday way more simple than that and be a patriotic person. You show patriotism by saying thank you to a veteran, removing your hat for the star spangled banner, and even just saying the pledge of allegiance. It might not seem like a lot, but when you break the pledge into pieces, you understand the meaning of it. How can you show that you love America? Take a moment and ask yourself, do I love America with all my heart? Having dedication and arrogance to America means that you love the place in which you belong..
